Production Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada; onsite production role

Salary: CAD 17.10–29.93/hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

hirify.global, through BIOVECTRA, develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients and advanced therapeutics, including products based on microbial fermentation, synthetic small molecules, plasmid DNA, mRNA, LNP, and sterile filling technologies.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain manual and automated pharmaceutical processing equipment.
• Execute microbial fermentation, downstream purification, API, and fine chemical manufacturing processes from startup through shutdown.
• Handle acids, bases, solvents, potent compounds, biologics, and APIs safely.
• Perform process sampling and testing, including pH, conductivity, spectrophotometry, osmometry, densometry, aseptic sampling, and streak plating.
• Prepare shift summaries, update Excel spreadsheets, and maintain batch production records and quality documentation.
• Support equipment training, housekeeping, cleaning, warehousing, material staging, tanker operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent attention to detail and proficient written and oral communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability for a rotating 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule with four 12-hour day shifts followed by four 12-hour night shifts.
• Work in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and follow applicable safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.

Nice to have

• 0–2+ years of experience in a cGMP or regulated environment such as food, aerospace, or pharmaceuticals.
• Post-secondary diploma in an applicable field.
• WHMIS certification and First Aid training.
