Senior Software Program Manager (Embedded)

Location: On-site 5 days a week in NW Austin, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple embedded software programs for the hirify.globalSuite SDK and ARM Cortex-M-based SoCs.
• Manage programs across the full lifecycle, from pre-silicon planning and silicon bring-up through production releases and long-term maintenance.
• Build integrated project plans, estimate effort, define milestones, and track dependencies, risks, resources, and execution health.
• Coordinate software work with architecture, RTL design, design verification, validation, applications engineering, product management, and marketing.
• Monitor quality metrics, defect trends, release readiness, and customer commitments.
• Prepare program dashboards and executive status reports and drive issue resolution and risk escalation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of technical program management or engineering leadership experience in embedded software within semiconductor or consumer electronics development.
• Strong understanding of embedded software development practices, software development lifecycles, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing integrated schedules and execution across multiple concurrent programs.
• Working knowledge of software workflows, CI/CD systems, defect tracking, release management, and project management tools.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARM Cortex-M-based embedded systems, RTOS environments, SDK development, or semiconductor product development.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and LLMs to improve engineering productivity.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
