Lead, Data Architect (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Annual base salary: $160,000–$192,500, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture vision, roadmap, standards, and data models.
• Design data integration, storage, access, batch, and real-time pipeline patterns across lakes, warehouses, and lakehouses.
• Establish data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, and regulatory compliance practices while leading the Data Management Office.
• Lead Master Data Management using the Stibo Systems platform and define canonical data models and domains.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers, modelers, and architects while partnering with business, product, and IT stakeholders.
• Enable self-service analytics, BI, and AI/ML initiatives through trustworthy data pipelines and feature stores.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles, including 5+ years designing enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Expertise in dimensional, normalized, and Data Vault modeling; data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management, strategic roadmap development, stakeholder management, and data governance.
• Leadership, mentoring, systems thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to balance governance with agility.
