Technical Program Manager (Security)

Location: Washington, DC — hybrid; willingness to work onsite and travel within greater Northern Virginia and occasionally beyond is required.

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 base salary annually.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data-centric security solutions for public-sector clients in regulated and classified environments.
• Create project plans covering architecture, integration, testing, rollout, support, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Run client kickoffs and coordinate Agile or hybrid work across engineering, security, product, delivery, partners, and customer support.
• Translate client mission objectives into technical requirements and drive features such as encryption controls and GovCloud integrations.
• Manage schedules, budgets, scope changes, dependencies, compliance updates, risks, and blockers to ensure secure, on-time delivery.
• Lead client engagements, troubleshoot deployment issues, communicate security value, and drive adoption.

Requirements

• Active U.S. TS clearance is required; CI poly is required and FS poly is preferred.
• 5–7+ years of technical project or program management experience, including 3+ years delivering IT or security solutions, software deployments, or data protection implementations in regulated environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, stakeholder management, and technical translation skills.
• Proficiency with project tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel for mission requirements and secure customer engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of persistent encryption, granular access controls, key management, revocation, policy enforcement, audit logging, and secure sharing workflows.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53/171, CMMC, FISMA, FAR, and DFARS.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365 Government, Google Workspace, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government.
• PMP, CISSP, or Security+ certification.
