Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (Power Packs)

Location: US Remote - California; candidates within 1-hour commuting distance of the office may be expected to work onsite most of the time.

Salary: $140,971-$228,870 per year, with possible bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from feature concept through production release.
• Build backend services, APIs, and data models supporting customer-facing experiences and internal operational workflows.
• Develop frontend applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and NextJS.
• Translate business requirements into extensible technical designs across backend and frontend systems with Product, Engineering, and partner teams.
• Troubleshoot data, integration, service, and UI issues across a distributed codebase.
• Improve system design, observability, documentation, code quality, and engineering practices while using AI tooling such as Claude.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production applications, including substantial backend and meaningful frontend experience.
• 3+ years of experience and strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong database and data-modeling skills with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• 3+ years of modern frontend development with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and NextJS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, API and service integrations, security, testing, monitoring, and documentation best practices.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; employment eligibility is validated through e-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with white-label or multi-tenant architectures, Apache Kafka, Python, pytest, or unittest.
• Cloud and AWS experience, including serverless infrastructure such as AWS Lambda.
• Experience with shared design systems, Svelte, SvelteKit, Twitch, customer-facing applications, or internal tools.
