Fullstack Developer (Java/React)

Location: New Carrollton, Maryland, United States; onsite role, with remote options subject to client confirmation and project requirements.

Salary: $87,000 per hour as stated in the posting.

What you will do

• Develop Java-based backend services using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Build modern, responsive React interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Design and develop APIs connecting frontend and backend systems.
• Work with cloud platforms and containerization technologies, including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and OpenShift.
• Use DevOps and software delivery tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, AppScan, Nexus IQ, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders across technical and organizational levels in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Active IRS MBI clearance and current IRS Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) are required.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress, with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong Java development skills, including object-oriented design principles and Java design patterns.
• Experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, API development, and responsive web interfaces.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration, DevOps, and software delivery tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.

Nice to have

• Experience documenting APIs with Swagger or OpenAPI.
• Experience with Node.js or Python.
• Previous experience supporting IRS or other federal technology programs.
