Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

What you will do

• Build and enhance the hirify.global Virtual Machine.
• Build and optimize different stages of the compiler chain.
• Turn security research proof-of-concepts into practical bot-defense solutions.
• Conduct research with product and engineering teams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions for efficient solutions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior software engineering role.
• Understanding of compiler architecture and experience working with compilers.
• Experience with abstract syntax trees.
• Experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to investigate unfamiliar problems.
• Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences and write user-based tests.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of browsers and backward compatibility.
• Cybersecurity experience.
• Client-based testing experience.
• Babel and virtual machine experience.
