Salary: $145,000 - $190,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and enhance microservices for long-term scalability and cross-platform integrations within the EverPro ecosystem.
• Optimize performance and reliability of core services through refactoring and re-architecture.
• Apply distributed systems principles for observability, resilience, high availability, and fault tolerance using cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize NoSQL/document databases like MongoDB for query performance, data integrity, and scalable storage.
• Mentor teams, set best practices, and advocate for modern development patterns to raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to align technical solutions with business goals and influence strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years professional experience delivering scalable software; 1-2 years as Staff Engineer or equivalent
• 6+ years hands-on with scalable microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Proficiency in UI frameworks like React.js and Tailwind CSS; building APIs for mobile/web apps
• Expertise in database modeling/caching (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis); high-performance RESTful APIs
• Experience assessing architectures, driving optimizations for performance and KPIs
• Strong communication, documentation, automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews
