Distinguished Technologist, Edge AI Architect (Edge AI)

Salary: $174,050–$278,450 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Own the multi-year technical roadmap and architectural vision for a full-stack Edge AI platform.
• Define cross-layer architecture and interface contracts across hardware, operating systems, security, inference, agentic runtimes, and model management.
• Architect model registries and lifecycle systems covering versioning, signing, evaluation, promotion, provenance, and rollback across distributed fleets.
• Set the architecture for agentic runtimes, agent-creation tooling, inference gateways, model serving, and request routing.
• Design control planes, telemetry, cost-management, fleet lifecycle, and edge-to-cloud handoff frameworks optimized for latency, privacy, cost, and performance.
• Guide cross-functional architecture decisions, communicate strategy to executives and customers, establish engineering standards, and mentor technical leaders.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 12+ years of experience in software development, software architecture, programming, or a related field.
• Experience architecting multiple layers of a modern AI stack, from hardware and operating-system enablement to inference serving, agentic runtimes, and model lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of LLMs, vision-language models, multimodal AI, agentic systems, inference optimization, Edge AI, distributed systems, and hybrid deployment.
• Experience with security foundations, heterogeneous silicon, GPU or accelerator computing, fleet management, observability, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, MLOps/LLMOps, and CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Rust, or similar programming languages, plus strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Programming language certification in Python, C++, Rust, Java, or a similar language.
• Cloud or platform architecture certification, such as AWS, Azure, or CNCF/Kubernetes.
