Senior Embedded Linux Engineer (Photonic AI)

What you will do

• Own the embedded Linux stack and embedded software for photonic AI accelerators.
• Develop and maintain custom Linux images with Yocto and PetaLinux, including kernel and device drivers.
• Interface on-chip and off-chip components through MMIO, AXI, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and UART under real-time requirements.
• Develop host-Linux components, including Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability tasks.
• Establish tools, methods, and best practices for custom Linux and embedded software solutions.
• Coach junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with software, processor architecture, and digital design specialists.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience building custom Linux images and device drivers.
• At least 3 years of experience in low-level software development and RTOS.
• Strong understanding of the Linux build system and services design in a Linux environment.
• Hands-on experience with MMIO, AXI, PCIe, SPI, I2C, and UART interfaces.
• Strong command of C, C++, and Python, plus experience with Yocto or PetaLinux, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development.
