Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded communication software for unmanned aircraft systems, including avionics and external data links.
• Define and manage interfaces between avionics, flight control, payloads, and ground systems.
• Support DO-178C–aligned verification activities, including testing, simulation, and flight test support.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and code quality initiatives.
• Create technical documentation and design specifications to ensure long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or Robotics.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded C/C++ development for real-time or safety-critical systems.
• 3+ years of experience with embedded communication systems (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART) and external links (LTE, RF, satellite).
• Hands-on experience with RTOS or embedded Linux, CMake, Docker, and Git.
• Strong debugging skills using JTAG, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Fluent in English required (German is a plus).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of safety and certification standards such as DO-178C or ISO 26262.
