TL;DR
Strategic Finance Lead (AI): Building and owning Runlayer's strategic finance function, including the operating model, financial reporting, dashboards, and accounting close with an accent on startup FP&A, enterprise sales metrics, and AI-native operations. Focus on modeling ARR, pipeline, burn, sales productivity, pricing, unit economics, capacity planning, and fundraising diligence.

What you will do
- Own the operating model and monthly metrics reporting.
- Build and maintain live dashboards covering ARR, pipeline, burn, and sales productivity.
- Own the finance technology stack, including QuickBooks, Ramp, banking partners, billing systems, and their integrations.
- Manage tax, revenue recognition, reporting requirements, financial compliance, and the monthly accounting close.
- Partner with sales leadership on compensation plans, quota design, and capacity models.
- Prepare board materials and support fundraising diligence.
Requirements
- 2+ years in investment banking or private equity, followed by 3+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth startup.
- AI-native approach and extensive use of AI in daily work.
- Experience at an enterprise sales company, ideally with infrastructure or usage-based economics.
- Strong driver-based financial modeling skills with clear, auditable models designed for others to use.
- Experience managing accounting closes and owning an entire finance function.
- Ability to work on-site in NYC.
