Applied AI Data Analyst (AI)

Location: New York, NY; in-person at the NYC office. Paid relocation support is available.

Salary: $180K–$240K annually, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Evaluate LLM-driven document processing systems and agentic workflows, including edge cases, hallucination rates, model predictions, and extraction accuracy.
• Perform root cause analysis on inconsistent financial documents, fragmented enterprise data, extraction failures, and time-series model performance.
• Define, curate, and maintain golden evaluation datasets for automated backtesting of AI agents and demand forecasting models.
• Build dashboards, data transformations, and evaluation harnesses to monitor system health, model drift, and AI performance across release cycles.
• Collaborate with applied AI engineers, product managers, and business operations managers to convert real-world problems into quantitative product insights.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a related STEM field.
• 2–4 years of experience in quantitative data analysis or AI evaluation alongside AI/ML research and development teams.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience working with AI/ML models.
• Strong SQL and enterprise data infrastructure skills, including PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS.
• Ability to translate noisy, unstructured document data into rigorous evaluation insights for engineers.
• Comfort working in person in New York City or relocating to the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM observability, tracing, and evaluation frameworks such as LangSmith, Arize AI, or TruLens.
• Experience with agentic workflows or multi-agent orchestration.
• Familiarity with demand forecasting, time-series models, or statistical modeling.
• Experience in fast-moving, high-growth startup environments.
