Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Fluidics/Perfusion

Location: Bay Area, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Develop perfusion systems and heat-exchange devices for organ-scale reversible cryopreservation.
• Design systems for heat and mass transfer in perfusion and rewarming applications.
• Work across electromechanical design, fabrication, control software, and physical modeling.
• Lead highly technical, multidisciplinary engineering efforts.
• Contribute to vitrification and uniform organ-rewarming hardware.

Requirements

• Work on-site in the Bay Area.
• 3+ years of experience or graduate-level training in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent field.
• Deep understanding of heat and mass transfer principles and experience with fluidic design.
• Demonstrated exceptional engineering ability and autonomy across the full engineering stack.
• Experience leading highly technical, multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with organ perfusion in a research or clinical context.
• Startup experience.
