Senior Software Engineer for AI (Fintech)

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $170K–$190K base compensation annually, plus bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship AI-powered features for a digital banking platform, including natural language interfaces, intelligent assistants, and automated workflows.
• Integrate large language models and AI APIs such as Anthropic Claude and OpenAI into production systems.
• Implement prompt engineering, tool and function calling, output validation, and safety guardrails.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with product, design, security, data, quality engineering, and software engineering teams on end-to-end features.
• Document AI development patterns, participate in code reviews, and evaluate emerging tools and frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience of at least five years.
• At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
• One to two or more years of hands-on experience integrating AI/ML or developing LLM-based products.
• Proficiency with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and tool or function calling.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, plus experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure; AWS is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Anthropic Claude or OpenAI APIs.
• Experience in financial services or with fintech regulatory requirements such as SOC 2 and data privacy.
