Principal Cloud Support Engineer (Cloud Storage)

Location: Remote candidates must be based in the United States. hirify.global is based in Boston, Massachusetts; regular travel is not required.

Base salary: $101,440–$152,160 per year, with potential bonus or variable compensation, equity, and benefits depending on eligibility.

What you will do

• Serve as the highest escalation point for complex technical and cloud support issues.
• Lead root-cause investigations with Engineering into protocol, performance, and interoperability challenges.
• Own technical training for Support, including onboarding, advanced troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Provide technical advisory and white-glove support to strategic enterprise customers and partners.
• Improve escalation workflows, supportability, diagnostic tooling, automation, and internal processes.
• Create troubleshooting guides and knowledge-base documentation while mentoring support engineers.

Requirements

• Expert hands-on experience with AWS S3 or compatible object storage.
• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification is required; Professional certification is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Network, Systems, or Computer Science is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including technical support, network operations, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience supporting mission-critical 24x7x365 systems and integrations using backup software, APIs, and SDKs.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, escalations, enterprise customers, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
