Senior Silicon Photonics Test Engineer (CPO/NPO)

What you will do

• Lead the full NPI cycle for wafer-level opto-electrical testing of NPO and CPO silicon photonics products.
• Architect, develop, and qualify wafer-level testers for photonic ICs and their integration with switch or ASIC dies.
• Lead tester RFQs and develop wafer probers, optical alignment fixtures, coupler interfaces, RF probe cards, automated test sequences, and data acquisition software.
• Integrate high-speed BERT and PAM4 testing into automated test equipment.
• Transfer wafer-level test platforms from NPI to mass production while meeting repeatability, throughput, alignment stability, and reliability targets.
• Support manufacturing, quality, and equipment vendors with production qualification and resolution of yield, throughput, and equipment issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of semiconductor or silicon photonics test engineering experience, including hands-on wafer-level test development.
• Demonstrated experience taking test platforms from NPI through volume production transfer.
• Experience with wafer-level optical probing and alignment systems, active alignment, fiber array probing, and automated test equipment.
• Familiarity with SerDes, PAM4/NRZ, BERT, optical power meters, tunable lasers, source meters, and network or spectrum analyzers.
• Working knowledge of DOE, SPC, Gauge R&R, yield analysis, binning, silicon photonics PIC characterization, and CPO/NPO packaging architectures.
