Forward Deployed Software Engineer - Korea Forward Deployed

Location: On-site in Seoul, South Korea; willingness to travel within the country as needed. The posting header lists Washington, D.C., but the role is explicitly located in Seoul.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential sign-on bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Understand customer pain points and design end-to-end technical solutions.
• Lead system design, prototyping, application development, and data integration.
• Deploy custom applications using hirify.global platforms, open-source technologies, and internally built tools.
• Build and integrate solutions using distributed data storage, parallel computing, cloud infrastructure, and web technologies.
• Iterate rapidly based on feedback from customers and colleagues.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, often working directly with customers on site.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing objectives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues and customers.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with eligibility and willingness to obtain SCI is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with logistics, materiel, sustainment, aviation, or readiness analysis.
