Physics and Engineering Research Associate

Location: Bay Area, United States; workplace: on-site

Salary: $75,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential equity.

hirify.global is developing organ-scale reversible cryopreservation technology to preserve donated organs at subzero temperatures without ice formation and rewarm them uniformly for transplantation.

What you will do

• Develop perfusion systems for organ-scale cryopreservation.
• Work on cryoprotectant formulations and vitrification processes.
• Design and develop rewarming hardware.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary engineering projects spanning electrical, mechanical, and materials design.
• Apply first-principles thinking to research and engineering challenges with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, physics, biology, or another scientific discipline.
• Experience with standard laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Demonstrated exceptional ability and autonomy in previous work.
• Availability to work on-site in the Bay Area.
