Staff Embedded Linux Engineer (Linux Kernel)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and design of Linux kernel solutions for SoC and FPGA platforms.
• Own end-to-end platform enablement across boot flow, kernel, drivers, and system integration.
• Define and drive an upstream-first strategy through patches, reviews, maintainership, and Linux community engagement.
• Lead complex debugging, performance optimization, and improvements in scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with silicon, firmware, and system teams on hardware/software co-design.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of experience in Embedded Linux or kernel development.
• Deep expertise in Linux kernel internals and multiple kernel subsystems.
• Strong track record of upstream contributions, including patches, maintainership, and reviews.
• Expert-level C programming and strong debugging capabilities.
• Extensive experience with ARM64 architecture and SoC platforms.
• Strong understanding of MMU, SMMU/IOMMU, DMA, cache coherency, U-Boot, ATF, and secure boot.
