Developer Relations (AI)

Location: Bay Area, in office

Salary: $175,000–$300,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Ship runnable technical artifacts approximately every two days, including demos, benchmarks, tutorials, integrations, and technical blog posts.
• Build public demos and reproducible benchmarks demonstrating Mercury's performance on developer workloads such as voice, agents, search/RAG, and coding.
• Contribute to playgrounds, documentation, integration guides, code samples, technical blogs, and other developer-facing product surfaces.
• Own developer-facing social and community engagement across X, LinkedIn, Reddit, GitHub, Hacker News, and Discord.
• Represent hirify.global at conferences and build relationships with technical creators, partner DevRel teams, and AI community members.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Evaluation teams on technical content, customer enablement, product feedback, and roadmap input.

Requirements

• Deep technical background with substantial shipped or published work in AI/ML, such as technical writing, open-source projects, research papers, or developer-cited demos.
• PhD, prior DevRel experience at a leading AI/ML company, or equivalent production engineering experience.
• Ability to ship working code and communicate technical concepts to both beginners and researchers.
• Knowledge of inference optimization, model architectures, benchmark methodology, and autoregressive versus non-autoregressive approaches.
• Credible public voice and active participation in developer communities.
• Comfort working across technical content, public communication, GTM initiatives, and a fast-moving startup environment.
