Head of Developer Relations (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco HQ, San Francisco, California

Salary: $200,000–$320,000 annually plus equity

hirify.global is building a search engine for the AI era, with a Search API used by agents, Fortune 500 companies, and AI labs.

What you will do

• Build and lead hirify.global's developer relations function, including hiring and coaching developer advocates while remaining hands-on.
• Run developer community programs, hackathons, meetups, conference talks, open-source initiatives, demos, workshops, and technical content presented live.
• Drive integrations with agent frameworks, orchestration libraries, IDEs, coding agents, and other developer platforms from initial discussions through shipped, documented, and maintained implementations.
• Develop champions, ambassadors, community contributors, and other programs that turn users into independent advocates.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to identify and resolve onboarding drop-off, API ergonomics issues, documentation gaps, and other developer friction.
• Establish measurement for developer awareness, community engagement, integration usage, advocacy, and team productivity.

Requirements

• 6+ years in developer relations, developer marketing, or engineering, including substantial public-facing work at a company selling an API or developer platform.
• Strong communication skills for developers, demonstrated through talks, workshops, streams, writing, and live demos.
• Engineering credibility with LLMs, agents, retrieval, and the broader AI stack.
• Experience building an early-stage community and driving ecosystem or integration partnerships through maintained production code.
• Experience hiring or mentoring DevRel talent and a clear approach to evaluating DevRel impact.
• Ability to work in person at the San Francisco HQ.

Nice to have

• Open-source maintainer experience or meaningful contributions recognized by developers.
• Experience at a company that grew primarily through developer adoption.
• An established presence in the AI and agent developer community.
• Experience running hackathons or developer conference programs at scale.
• Previous professional software engineering experience.
