Developer Relations Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, Washington or the Bay Area, California

Salary: $205,000–$250,000 per year, plus startup equity of 0.1%–0.5%

What you will do

• Lead and execute developer relations and developer marketing strategy alongside the CEO.
• Build an engaged technical community through documentation, blogs, tutorials, samples, and thought leadership content.
• Develop and maintain sample applications and demos showcasing hirify.global capabilities.
• Represent hirify.global in developer forums, social media, events, and conferences.
• Own the open-source blog, documentation, and related developer marketing assets.
• Collect developer feedback and use it to influence product development.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, product marketing, or a similar role.
• Proven hands-on technical thought leadership and experience building developer audiences in open-source and social communities.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including technical writing and conference presentations.
• Technical background in data and ML, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
• Leadership skills and experience with startups, open-source projects, AI/ML, data platforms, or distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to relevant open-source projects and earning the respect of engineering communities.
• Experience with Apache Arrow, DataFusion, Iceberg, or DuckDB.

Hiring process

• First 30 days: learn and use the hirify.global OSS and data and AI platform, build an end-to-end demo, and contribute written pieces.
• Days 31–60: develop the DevRel and product marketing strategy with the CEO.
• Days 61–90: take ownership of DevRel, developer marketing, and associated channels and assets.
