Electrical Engineer, II

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; hybrid work with up to 25% domestic and international travel to customer sites.

What you will do

• Design, test, and validate cost-effective hardware solutions, including component changes, PCB layout modifications, and firmware adjustments.
• Investigate systemic electrical hardware issues, perform component-level troubleshooting, and replicate field failures in laboratory environments.
• Develop product enhancements, cost-reduction modifications, and documentation for the existing product portfolio.
• Coordinate rolling changes into production with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Analyze field-failure trends and provide data-driven recommendations to improve product supportability, reliability, and next-generation designs.
• Participate in design reviews, apply quality standards, and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or hardware design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or similar ECAD tools.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and fine-pitch hand soldering for PCBA prototyping.
• Experience with microcontroller and processor architecture designs, plus understanding of DC-DC converters, battery management systems, and low-power design.
• Good command of English in reading, writing, and speaking is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qualcomm platforms or similar mobile SoC architectures.
