Senior Engineer II-Applications (USB)

What you will do

• Provide direct technical support to sales engineers, field application engineers, and strategic customers using USB products.
• Debug customer system implementation problems and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Develop and present technical training through webinars, workshops, and hands-on sessions.
• Create application notes, data sheets, reference designs, schematics, and other product collateral.
• Develop evaluation and form-factor hardware to demonstrate product features.
• Collaborate with product marketing, customers, silicon vendors, and global engineering teams on product requirements and technical partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline with at least 7.5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience in applications engineering, systems engineering, silicon architecture, or system architecture.
• Experience designing hardware systems and a strong understanding of mixed-signal systems and inter-chip protocols.
• Strong written communication skills for producing high-quality engineering documentation.
• Basic understanding of software design.
• Availability to work in Taipei, Taiwan and travel 25%–50%.

Nice to have

• Experience with USB, PCI Express, Ethernet, and other high-speed interfaces.
• Experience designing electrical circuits, system designs, and reference schematics using Altium, Cadence, or similar PCB design tools.
• Embedded or application programming experience with C, Python, or LabVIEW.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, multimeters, and serial protocol analyzers.
• Experience with microcontroller-based designs, technical training, customer support, and international standards organizations.
