Director, Corporate Accounting (Private Equity)

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and review of consolidated and standalone financial statements for European and global entities.
• Oversee books of accounts, balance sheet management, journal entry controls, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Manage regulatory and non-regulatory filings for European entities, including CSSF returns, and monitor own-funds and liquidity requirements.
• Coordinate statutory audits, maintain audit-ready records and working papers, and resolve audit queries.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, Compliance, fund accounting teams, auditors, regulators, and external consultants.
• Improve accounting systems, processes, and controls while supporting team capability and potentially taking on direct line management responsibility.

Requirements

• Qualified chartered accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong technical finance expertise and extensive experience in a similar corporate accounting role.
• Understanding of the private equity or asset management industry.
• Knowledge of European regulations and compliance returns, including LUX GAAP and IFRS; US GAAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent understanding of accounting processes and systems, ideally including Workday Finance.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, adaptable, solution-oriented, and comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with PowerQuery or Alteryx.
• Experience in asset management, private equity, or financial services.
