Assistant Controller (AI)

Location: Nunspeet, Gelderland, Netherlands; partly hybrid with regular collaboration from the Nunspeet office

Salary: €40,000–€50,000 gross annual salary, depending on knowledge and experience

International software organisation with approximately 500 colleagues and operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, financial data processing, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Investigate discrepancies and perform intercompany reconciliations across international entities.
• Support external audits, prepare audit documentation, and assist with CBS filings and statistical reporting.
• Support weekly payment runs, banking activities, cash flow reporting and liquidity management.
• Improve and automate financial processes and internal controls, including exploring practical applications of AI.

Requirements

• Completed MBO+/HBO-level education in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a comparable field.
• Practical Finance or Accountancy experience through an internship, graduation project or first job.
• Accurate, structured and analytical approach with an ability to investigate and solve problems.
• Confidence using Excel and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Interest in AI and automation, initiative, curiosity and willingness to ask questions.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Dutch and English is required.
