Director, Management Company

Location: Stamford, United States

Base salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligible discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Lead and participate in monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, management fee billing, cash application, collections, aging analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Oversee management fee accruals, intercompany receivables, account roll-forwards, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting.
• Drive finance transformation, process optimization, automation, and improvements to accounting operations, controls, and scalability.
• Partner with IT on Workday-enabled workflows, reporting, controls, and data integrity.
• Support SEC and government reporting, audits, fixed asset accounting, and the development of junior team members.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including public or corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with public company close processes, financial reporting, external audits, and US GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting and full-cycle accounts receivable operations.
• CPA qualification and experience with multinational or asset management firms are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas.
• Ability to coordinate offshore or shared-service accounting teams and operate hands-on while managing strategic priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday Financials, Alteryx, Power Query, or Workiva.
• Experience mentoring, training, or overseeing junior accounting professionals.
