Specialist, DevSecOps (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events. Occasional travel is required.

Annual base salary: $110,000–$135,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with Platform Engineering to remediate vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, container images, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Triage findings from security scanning tools and translate risks into actionable remediation plans.
• Harden container workloads, Kubernetes configurations, and cloud infrastructure using security best practices, CIS benchmarks, and least-privilege access.
• Embed vulnerability scanning, secrets detection, infrastructure-as-code policy checks, and deployment gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop secure Terraform modules, infrastructure-as-code templates, Kubernetes manifests, scripts, bots, and automated remediation workflows.
• Support security incident response, provide technical guidance to engineers, and maintain security documentation, runbooks, and remediation guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering with a strong security focus.
• Proficiency with Python, Shell, Ruby, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong experience securing Docker and Kubernetes workloads and cluster configurations.
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet; CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Harness.io, or ArgoCD; and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, coaching, and collaboration skills.
