Backend Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid in Kfar Saba, Israel

What you will do

• Collaborate with product, marketing, and front-end engineering teams to iterate on the product and solve technical challenges.
• Own backend features from inception and design through coding, testing, and production release.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain a high level of quality and test coverage.
• Work with server-side Kotlin and deliver changes through the CI/CD pipeline.
• Grow into a mentoring role by supporting junior and mid-level engineers and collaborating with the team lead.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of backend development experience.
• Senior-level experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, .NET, or similar languages.
• End-to-end ownership of projects and experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and best practices.
• Experience with relational databases and good SQL skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience developing in highly distributed, cloud-based environments.
• AWS or other cloud platform experience.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
