Senior Backend Engineer, Platform Foundations (AI)

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid work with partial work-from-home flexibility

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and reusable libraries that support applications across the company.
• Build and maintain developer tools that streamline workflows for product teams.
• Define and promote standards for code quality, performance, reliability, and healthy production environments.
• Lead the adoption of AI tools for code generation, testing, documentation, and debugging.
• Run proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies, including AI agents and platforms.
• Lead cross-team infrastructure projects, improve system architecture, and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience focused on infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience building large-scale infrastructure or web applications.
• Experience improving system stability through monitoring, bottleneck analysis, and performance improvements.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or Ansible, and integrating AI tools into development workflows.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading long-term technical initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
