Engineer/Applied Physicist (Cryopreservation)

Salary: $120,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is developing organ-scale reversible cryopreservation to preserve donated organs below freezing without ice formation and rewarm them uniformly for transplantation.

What you will do

• Develop perfusion systems, cryoprotectant formulations, and vitrification and rewarming hardware.
• Work across electrical, mechanical, and computational engineering, from electronics to operating systems.
• Design and analyze analog and digital circuits.
• Develop basic control systems and mechanical designs.
• Apply first-principles reasoning to interdisciplinary cryopreservation challenges.

Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in a scientific discipline such as physics, chemistry, or biology.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical, mechanical, or computational engineering.
• Experience designing and analyzing analog and digital circuitry.
• Experience with basic control systems and mechanical design.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated exceptional ability and autonomy in previous work.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience or graduate-level experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent field.
• Experience working at a startup.
