Technician II- Facilities (Air Separation)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite at an industrial facility. Shift: Front Days, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 7:00 AM–7:12 PM.

Hourly pay: $19–$32 per hour, depending on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor nitrogen generation plants, air separation equipment, compressors, pumps, and related systems.
• Start up, shut down, and adjust plant operations according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, flow rates, purity levels, and other process parameters.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, and basic instrumentation checks.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, coordinate repairs, respond to alarms, and support emergency situations.
• Record operational and maintenance data while maintaining safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of compressors, pumps, valves, instrumentation, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude, process monitoring and control, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts onsite in an industrial environment, wear required PPE, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and work at heights or in confined spaces when required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Technology.
• Experience with industrial gas plants, air separation units, or nitrogen generation systems.
• OSHA, forklift, Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, or HazCom training.
