Associate Consultant - Cyber Security

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Salary: AUD $85,000–$95,000 per annum plus superannuation

What you will do

• Monitor AWS and Azure cloud environments and support the identification and response to security incidents.
• Implement, maintain, and monitor cloud security controls across AWS and Azure.
• Investigate and respond to security breaches, vulnerabilities, and other incidents.
• Support compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant standards and regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate cloud security risks with cross-functional teams.
• Automate security processes and participate in audits and cloud risk assessments.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts, including identity management, encryption, and network security.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, and other security technologies.
• Basic knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 security frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in cybersecurity risks.
• Professional-level English, written and verbal.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or an equivalent certification.
