Senior Robotics Engineer (ROS 2)

Location: On-site in Zurich, Switzerland, or Germany, including Stuttgart

What you will do

• Develop, test, and deploy robotic software for motion planning, perception, and control.
• Design algorithms for path planning, trajectory optimization, and collision avoidance.
• Implement sensor fusion, localization, and mapping software.
• Integrate robotic arms, grippers, sensors, and other hardware with multidisciplinary teams.
• Use ROS 2 for real-time communication and modular robotic software.
• Optimize and troubleshoot software and hardware systems for robust real-time operation in production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing robotic systems or automation platforms.
• Professional programming experience with Python and C++.
• Solid experience with ROS 2, Gazebo, and simulation environments.
• Experience with perception systems using cameras, LiDAR, or depth sensors.
• Knowledge of robotic manipulators, vision systems, motion control, kinematics, dynamics, and system modeling.
• Ability to collaborate on software and hardware integration in dynamic real-world environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing machine learning techniques for robotic task execution.
