Sr. Business Analyst, HR Technology

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters

Salary: $164,000–$218,700 per year

What you will do

• Partner with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable functional designs and technical solutions for Workday and HR technology initiatives.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday HCM Core modules, including business processes, security, organizations, staffing, positions, and advanced compensation.
• Advise stakeholders on Workday best practices, process improvements, automation opportunities, and compliance alignment.
• Lead HR system projects from requirements gathering through testing and deployment.
• Develop change management plans, create training resources, and facilitate adoption of new HR technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or similar professional supporting and configuring Workday HCM Core.
• Hands-on experience with Workday business process framework, security, core modules, reporting, and integrations.
• Understanding of HCM modules including advanced compensation, performance and development, succession planning, absence management, benefits, and journeys.
• Experience delivering complex HR technology projects involving requirements gathering, process improvement, testing, documentation, system support, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, HR systems architecture, integration, data analytics, and cloud security skills.
