AI Engineer (Agentic Customer Flow)

Location: Waltham, MA, United States; hybrid work with a minimum of three days per week in the office

Salary: $127,000–$220,000 USD annual base salary

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize backend services supporting AI workflows.
• Integrate ML and LLM models into production systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Build and own AI features end to end, including LLM harnesses and quality frameworks.
• Evaluate and monitor AI systems in pre-release and production environments.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and real-time serving infrastructure while diagnosing issues across model-serving and backend components.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams on requirements, technical plans, system design, architecture reviews, and code quality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience with Python, Go, Java, or a similar language.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience integrating ML or LLM models into production.
• Experience evaluating model performance using metrics.
• Proven experience building high-performance or distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, microservices, and observability.
• Availability for the hybrid work model, with at least three days per week on-site in the Waltham office.
