Flight Test (FT) Change Management | Configuration Management

Location: Significant onsite work at hirify.global locations in Burlington, Vermont, United States

Compensation: $100,000–$125,000 USD annually

hirify.global develops electric aircraft and works toward FAA certification for producing, supplying, and operating them.

What you will do

• Manage the flight-test change management process for experimental, company-owned, certification, and future customer aircraft configurations.
• Analyze design and flight-test changes, including hardware, software, and test-asset impacts.
• Coordinate, track, and status reviews and approvals of aircraft configuration changes.
• Maintain configuration traceability and auditability across PLM, ERP, and as-maintained databases.
• Author procedures for flight-test change management, instrumentation configurations, and flight-test asset configurations.
• Advise on safe flight, maintenance actions, return to service, product effectivity, and certification requirements.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of configuration management processes and familiarity with SAE-649.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or another regulated design and manufacturing industry.
• BS in a relevant engineering or quality discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with PLM and ERP software such as 3Dx, Teamcenter, Plex, or SAP.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software; CATIA and Enovia are preferred.
• Strong Excel, analytical, communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
