  • Ensure the safe and effective execution of ground and flight-test missions from the control room.
  • Develop test strategies, objectives, plans, mission cards, procedures, schedules, and hazard mitigations.
  • Coordinate range, airspace, support resources, vehicle engineering requirements, manufacturing schedules, and flight-readiness actions.
  • Mentor less experienced personnel and assess the readiness of control-room engineers and support functions.

Requirements

  • Technical aerospace experience and training in a technical discipline.
  • Experience leading flight-test programs involving new, experimental, or modified aircraft, launch vehicles, or spacecraft.
  • Experience with technical and safety review boards, configuration control, risk or safety management systems, and requirements verification.
  • Experience with engineering and test-data analysis tools such as IADS and MATLAB.
  • Ability to lead a small team, make rapid decisions, prioritize tasks independently, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship may be required for certain government-cleared or restricted positions.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Graduation from a recognized test pilot school long course.
  • Experience as a Test Conductor or control-room engineer on an active developmental test program.
  • Experience with launch vehicles, air-launch systems, high-speed flight programs, government flight-test organizations, ranges, or classified hardware.

Culture & Benefits

  • 9/80 work schedule.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription-drug healthcare coverage.
  • Paid maternity and parental leave.
  • 50% company match on 401(k) contributions, up to $11,500.
