Accounting Manager (Robotics)

What you will do

• Run the monthly close, flux analysis, and KPI and metrics reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition, deferred revenue, inventory, equity, and allocation journal entries.
• Own the order-to-cash cycle, including customer billing and collections.
• Improve scalable order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes and build cross-functional accounting systems.
• Manage the outsourced accounting team, mentor direct reports, and grow the internal accounting function.
• Coordinate external audit and tax preparation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public and private accounting experience.
• Experience owning complex cross-functional accounting projects end to end.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and equity accounting.
• Experience managing external audit and tax relationships, mentoring others, and raising quality standards.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.

Nice to have

• CPA license.
• Experience in an early-stage or venture-backed startup.
• Experience with Ramp, Digits, Carta, or similar modern finance tools.
• Experience building AI- or agent-assisted processes.
• Robotics, hardware, or manufacturing industry experience.
