Insurance Product Manager, WC

Location: Waltham, MA (hybrid)

Salary: $115,000–$150,000 annual base for mid-level candidates; $130,000–$170,000 annual base for senior-level candidates.

What you will do

• Lead initiatives that maintain the integrity, profitability, and compliance of the Workers' Compensation product.
• Create project plans, communication materials, timelines, and milestone reporting for major product implementations.
• Translate state regulations, NCCI rules, and bureau requirements into technical requirements for automated compliance and underwriting solutions.
• Coordinate engineering, product, legal, filings, customer service, and production stakeholders.
• Manage the working relationship with Workers' Compensation rating bureaus and track performance metrics.
• Conduct market research, review filings and research studies, and use findings to guide product direction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Workers' Compensation product experience, including class code assignment, premium calculation, bureau manuals, rate and form revisions, and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation underwriting, portfolio management, and automated underwriting processes.
• Experience with Jira, Figma, Tableau, and AI tools.
• Strong stakeholder communication and project coordination skills.
• Bachelor's degree in insurance, business, finance, STEM, or a related field.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

• PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification.
• Deep knowledge of pay-as-you-go Workers' Compensation.
• Understanding of AI principles and experience with AI tools.
• CPCU or a master's degree.
