Development Hardware Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Design and construct testing setups with the UI/UX team for rapid prototyping.
• Define tool specifications and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain and improve laboratory hardware performance.
• Troubleshoot machines and maintain operating procedures, maintenance instructions, schedules, bills of materials, and spare-parts availability.
• Design and improve infotainment software test rigs.
• Use data sources to evaluate tool performance and create programs to improve relevant metrics.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, controls, or another automation field.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software, experience simulating vehicle operating conditions, and programming experience in any language.
• Experience developing products in a UNIX environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive, embedded software, mechanical, systems engineering, or computer science, plus 5+ years of work experience.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and advocate for technology direction.
• Experience with software project management and Agile methodology.
