Communications Lead (AI)

Location: New York, US; hybrid

Salary: $200K–$270K base annually + equity and benefits

What you will do

• Own relationships with tier-one and trade press, including proactive pitching, coverage management, and follow-up.
• Build executive and employee communication systems, support content creation, and coach leaders on public presence.
• Lead communications for product and company launches across messaging, press outreach, internal alignment, and social amplification.
• Manage company social channels and use performance insights to refine content.
• Shape event narratives, prepare executives for speaking opportunities, and extend event impact through press and social channels.
• Own internal communications and carry the core product narrative consistently across external and internal channels.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of B2B communications experience, including at least one in-house role at a high-growth company.
• Experience operating a founder-led or employee-amplified communications program.
• Ability to produce press releases, social posts, all-hands scripts, and opinion pieces.
• Experience building executive communication systems with content planning, drafting support, and performance tracking.
• Experience developing media plans, coordinating journalists and outlets, and using events and speaking opportunities for communication impact.
• Experience advising and coaching senior leaders on communication strategy and messaging.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a major company repositioning across messaging, press, and social.
• Experience briefing analysts or working through category-creation moments.
