BI / Power Platform Engineer (Power BI)

Location: Hybrid at Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, United States; up to 3 telework days per week. Remote work may be authorized by the Government on an exception basis. Occasional travel may be required. Active SECRET security clearance required.

Salary: $132,000–$183,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI, with additional support for Palantir Foundry and Advana.
• Translate approved requirements and backlog items into dashboards, data models, measures, visualizations, application features, and workflow automation.
• Design and sustain Power BI semantic models, dataflows, calculations, refresh schedules, performance improvements, and data-quality controls.
• Build and maintain Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate workflows with reliable exception handling, monitoring, and operational support.
• Perform unit testing, support Government UAT, remediate critical and high-severity defects, and prepare release notes and UAT evidence.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects, maintain requirements traceability, and provide stakeholder support and technical training.

Requirements

• Active SECRET security clearance and compliance with applicable DoD/DAF security, cybersecurity-awareness, CUI, OPSEC, and access-training requirements.
• Hands-on experience developing production Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, dataflows, and DAX-based calculations.
• Hands-on experience building Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate workflows for enterprise users.
• Experience translating functional requirements into analytics and application solutions, including testing and UAT support.
• Knowledge of data modeling, SQL, data quality, security and role-based access, accessibility, and UI/UX practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot refresh, calculation, performance, integration, and workflow issues in production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building BI products in Palantir Foundry, including Envision, Maven, or Vantage, or in Advana.
• Experience supporting DoD, DAF, or Air National Guard users and mission-oriented dashboards.
