TL;DR
Flight Software Engineering Intern - Fall 2026 (Aerospace) (C/C++ and A-GRA): Supporting the design and implementation of mission systems and messaging architectures for uncrewed high-speed aircraft with an accent on embedded software, hardware integration, and system interoperability. Focus on developing messaging systems, integrating mission subsystems, and testing and refining interfaces for aerospace systems.

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; on-site

Salary: $25–$33 per hour

hirify.global is a venture-backed defense aviation company developing high-speed aircraft through rapid iterative prototyping.

What you will do

  • Support the design and implementation of mission systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft using the A-GRA (OMS/UCI) framework.
  • Develop and integrate messaging systems that enable communication between mission subsystems.
  • Work with messaging standards, protocols, and APIs to support system interoperability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to test, validate, and refine mission system interfaces and integrations.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Entry-level experience with C, C++, or other embedded programming languages.
  • Experience integrating hardware and working with embedded computers such as Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, or STM32s.
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in mission systems, autonomy, or aerospace systems integration, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above. Access to U.S. export-controlled information requires U.S.-person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing.
