Senior Software Engineer (Rust)

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance, low-latency backend systems for critical train control applications.
• Develop and maintain system-level software primarily in Rust.
• Optimize codebases for scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Architect fault-tolerant and distributed systems with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct performance profiling, debugging, and diagnostics for complex system issues.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or systems-level software development experience.
• Professional experience with C, C++, Rust, or other systems programming languages.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, concurrency models, and memory management.
• Experience building highly available, high-performance systems.
• Proficiency with Linux environments and low-level system interactions.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills for complex distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Rust or a strong interest in working with Rust.
• Experience with safety-critical applications, such as autonomous vehicles, industrial control equipment, or aerospace.
• Experience with or knowledge of rail control systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and containerized environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
