Software Engineer (C/Rust)

Annual pay range: USD $140,000–$190,000

What you will do

• Develop and test features for distributed storage services using C and Rust.
• Build and improve customer-facing features and internal engineering improvements.
• Participate in stand-ups, code reviews, pair programming, and other SDLC processes.
• Debug and resolve test failures and product issues.
• Contribute to software that supports fault-tolerant storage, transactional file systems, access protocols, and replication or backup features.

Requirements

• 2+ years of production software design, coding, and testing experience.
• Professional experience with a compiled language such as C, C++, Rust, C#, Java, or Go.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrent programming, and operating systems.
• Ability to collaborate on shared codebases with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud storage APIs, block or file storage systems, Linux tooling, kernel interfaces, performance tuning, or GDB debugging.
