Staff Engineer (Rust)

Location: On-site at the Pune office, India

What you will do

• Design and develop new features for the EMF framework.
• Maintain existing features and analyze bug reports across multiple platforms.
• Develop and validate software fixes for the HPC filesystem deployment, management, and monitoring platform.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and geographically distributed engineering team to understand product requirements.
• Contribute to product documentation.
• Assist with performance tuning for specific environments and use cases.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with Rust, C/C++, Bash scripting, or similar technologies.
• 7+ years of modern full-stack software development experience, including WebAssembly, CSS, and HTML.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, self-management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work on-site at the Pune office.

Nice to have

• Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, Git, and GitHub.
• Experience with enterprise-class or HPC storage systems and distributed systems.
