Senior Cyber Systems Administrator (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote eligible, based at 9801 Washingtonian Blvd, Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States; 10% travel to offices or sites

Salary: $145,000–$170,000 for Level IV or $180,000–$205,000 for Level V annually

What you will do

• Build, install, harden, and administer an industrial control systems cybersecurity lab.
• Execute advanced threat hunting using adversary tactics, techniques, procedures, and indicators of attack.
• Develop threat intelligence to detect, respond to, and defeat advanced persistent threats.
• Identify and remediate control weaknesses through security analysis and technical risk assessments.
• Design and implement procedures to prevent, detect, contain, and correct data security breaches.
• Collaborate with firewall administrators, engineers, system administrators, and other groups to assess security-event risks and report incidents and trends.

Requirements

• Remote work is eligible only within the United States; regular working hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 15 years of combined cyber engineering, IT networking, and operational technology experience for Level V, or 10 years for Level IV.
• Advanced experience managing NDR, EDR, and SIEM tools, plus AWS and Azure.
• One or more relevant certifications required, including CISSP, CISA, GIAC, GCIH, GPEN, or GICSP.
• Experience with IAM, MFA, PKI, cloud technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, networking, firewalls, and software-defined networking.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow development and architecture experience, including scripting, workflow configuration, business rules, and Glide API.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles.
• Experience leveraging AI, machine learning, and orchestration for cybersecurity.
