Sr. Application Engineer (Power Electronics)

Location: Penang, Malaysia

Company

Develops integrated power semiconductors and systems power delivery architectures for customers worldwide.

What you will do

• Provide application support and technical training for customers, field application engineers, and sales engineers.
• Visit customers in Southeast Asia to promote new products and collect feedback and requirements.
• Develop application reference circuits based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineers, field applications, and marketing teams on IC debugging.
• Support technical marketing with product definition and guide junior application engineers.

Requirements

• MSEE or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in power management IC applications, application engineering, field application engineering, or related work.
• Familiarity with buck, boost, buck-boost, and similar power converter topologies.
• Hardware implementation skills and the ability to analyze complex analog and power electronic circuits.
• Fluent communication skills in Chinese and English are required.
• Excellent communication, writing, presentation, initiative, problem-solving, responsibility, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive electronics applications.
• Experience managing or leading a team.
